HIV-2 Tool usage

Sequence Analysis

In case of fasta sequencing data, select the “Sequence Analysis” tab.
On this page, you can enter your data. The fields are described in the following:

  1. Name
optional name for your sequencing data
  2. Date
optional information about the date of prediction
  3. Sequences
here you can either upload a fasta file by clicking on “Browse” or paste in one or more fasta sequences in the respective text field below “Paste sequence text”. Up to 50 sequences in one run are possible, if you have more, please contact us. The pasted sequence(s) can be removed by pressing the “clear” button.
  4. Additional Algorithms
one additional result from the prediction tool of Rega  can be added to the result page. In this case, enable the respective switches.

Example sequences can be loaded by pressing on of the buttons called “Sample 1-6
Click on “Analyse” to start analyzing your data.

Mutation List Analysis

In case of using mutation lists, first select the “Mutations List Analysis” tab.

  1. Name
optional name for your sequencing data
  2. Date
optional information about the date of prediction
  3. Mutations
in this section you can enter your mutations for the different genes (“Reverse transcriptase”, “Protease”, “gp41” and “Integrase”. Mutations can be either entered or copied into the field “Enter a mutation list”, e.g., “184IV, 215Y”, or by selecting the respective mutations in the pull-down menus below.  If you select the asterisk, you have the option of entering variants (single letter amino acid code) that are not listed.
  4. Additional Algorithms
additional results from other prediction tools (Rega), can be added to the result page. In this case, enable the respective switche.

Click on “Analyse” to start analyzing your data.
